A Step Ahead in Pierce County (ASAP) was founded in 2001 by the Executive Director, Candy Watkins.  We serve approximately 370 children with special needs each year.  95% of our services are provided in natural environments.  
 
ASAP embraces enrollment of children of all races, religions, and nationalities.  Eligible children are between 0-36 months old and demonstrate a 25% delay in at least one area of development or have biological risk for developmental delay.
