Child Care Assistance

Working Connections Child Care (WCCC) Helps eligible families pay for licensed child care so they can work, attend school, or meet WorkFirst requirements.

Military Child Care Assistance Offers financial assistance for eligible military families needing child care.

Family, Friend, or Neighbor (FFN) Care Eligible families can receive support while using informal caregivers like relatives or friends.

Head Start and Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP) Free preschool for eligible families with children ages 3-5. Most children are eligible for ECEAP and Head Start based on their age and family income. Up to 10% of ECEAP and Head Start slots can be filled by children above the income requirement.

YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties Provides licensed early learning programs for children 6 weeks+, as well as school-age care. Scholarships are available.
