introducing: baby playgroup 2026

We’re expanding our playgroup offerings to include a group specifically designed for infants & their caregivers

Playing with your child fosters early social, cognitive, and motor skill development. Baby Playgroup is a semi-structured gathering for caregivers and their infants to participate in developmentally appropriate songs and movement, followed by safe exploration and time to connect with other families.

 


Parent Coaching Model

 

A Step Ahead’s playgroups follow our Parent Coaching Model and require the interaction of parents with their children to make the classes successful. A Step Ahead’s goal is to coach parents in how to guide their child’s experience through the class. Without parent interaction, our playgroups would not be possible.

Because of this, our classroom is a cell phone free zone. We ask that you silence your phone and reserve the use of your phone for emergencies only while in class.

Schedule & Format

  • Weekly on Monday’s at 10am, beginning on Monday April 20th

  • Doors Open at 9:55 am

  • Classes Last for 45 Minutes and are a “drop-in” style class with no registration required.

  • Emergency Closures, Changes in Schedule / Dates, and Other Group News will be updated on our website

  • Baby Group is limited to infants who are not yet walking

  • At this time we are unable to accommodate older siblings

  • We’ll do circle time songs, and movement during the first half, followed by free play and exploration in an infant safe environment.
