She has a bachelor’s degree in Special and Elementary Education and has previously earned a National Board Certification in Special Education. Jaime has been teaching since 1999 and has taught all ages of children with disabilities from birth to 21 years old.

Jaime is inspired every day by making connections with families, getting to know their unique stories, and witnessing the caregiver’s sheer determination to help their child(ren) succeed. She attentively devotes her time to each family on her caseload and especially enjoys, navigating access to resources and information for families that will assist them in providing the best for their children.

“In my position, I get the opportunity to walk with each family continuously, from the beginning of the unknown as they enter services, throughout every developmental goal, and finally, through the process of transitioning out of services, typically at age three. Seeing the growth parents and children alike make throughout that process is extremely rewarding and worth every effort.”

Jaime’s typical day is anything but typical and usually has 17 tasks done before 8 AM. Jaime is a single mother of five amazing children ages 10 to 20 years old, has an adult stepdaughter and grandson, and is the guardian for her cousin who has Down Syndrome and participates actively in the Special Olympics.  They love spending time together as a family; camping, hiking, swimming, kayaking, Scouting with Boy Scouts of America, and church activities. Her boys are involved in school ASB, marching band, drum line, music lessons, football, wrestling, soccer…and whatever else piques their interest and passion! In her spare time, Jaime is an exemplary student currently enrolled in her Master’s Program for School Psychology.
