Corynne Sperry

Corynne Sperry is a licensed certified occupational therapy assistant. She is a former co-op preschool teacher with STARS certification and an early childhood education certificate from Bates Technical College.  Although she enjoyed teaching, she recognized the need for early intervention so much so that she returned for her OTA degree and quickly accepted the ASAPC position upon graduation.

“Occupational therapy to me is all about meeting children and their families wherever they are. I believe in using a strengths-based, neuro-affirmative approach to building skills and coming up with functional strategies that can be integrated into everyday life to support children in their development.  I get to watch my families grow their skills, knowledge, and their connections to each other and I feel blessed to be part of it”.

Corynne is a single momma of two autistic and gifted teenagers and two dogs and has a wonderful partner of four years. Her oldest child has a passion for robotics and fixing old computers. She enjoys homeschooling her youngest son.  He is into geology, physics, chemistry, history, art, and of course…Minecraft!  They have an old dog named Mason who is a German-shorthaired pointer/lab mix and enjoys spending time with their other dog Maybelline (May-May for short) who is a little black haired woodle (Wheaton terrier-poodle).

She and her son are really into rock-hounding.  They have taken trips all over to find agates, common opal, petrified wood, jaspers, and other cool rocks and now her house, car, and garage are full of them!  To foster his passion, they now have a cutting/polishing station set up in the garage.
