Lead Therapist and Evaluation Team

Kirsten Holmquist is a physical therapist with a Master in Physical Therapy (MPT) with 28 years of experience in pediatrics.

Two years into her career, Kirsten took the pediatric Neurodevelopmental Treatment course.  In addition, she took the 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training, which deepened her understanding of how the body moves between positions and how to challenge clients’ balance while strengthening their muscles.

Continued study and practice along with a love of exercise has deepened her understanding of biomechanics and physiology.  Her recent involvement in mountain climbing has given her a deeper awareness of how a baby or toddler may feel in developing the confidence and figuring out the motor planning needed to climb up a flight of stairs.

Kirsten loves working with children and families in their home environment, working with a variety of cultures and learning everyone’s stories.  She appreciates watching caregivers’ concern and anxiety about their child’s development shift towards gratitude for the small gains, knowing how much goes into each step of development rather than taking it for granted.  She feels like she is part of the team, encouraging the babies and toddlers to gain strength and mobility in order to explore their environment to learn and grow.
